Hissing Organs

Hissing Organs is a sculptural and performative research process that takes as its core the raw material of organs and their resonant cavities. A collaborative proposal performing artist Maria Tamarit, it explores the connection between respiratory organs, vocalization, and the performative body, in conjunction with a material investigation of instruments designed to interact with the body. Diving into the study of their anatomical, sonic, and affective qualities, the project aims to cultivate an active listening towards the organs in order to move and create from a sensitive plane.
